Here is another tidbit of good news for home owners in Kane County!  The Homestead exemption for owner occupied properties has been increased from $5000 to $5500.  Actually, its gets even better.  It will increase again in 2009 to $6000!  The Senior exemption is also increasing in 2009 to$4000 from $3000.

While this may not have a huge impact on your tax bill, every little bit helps!  And why not finish on a Friday with some positive news for your weekend!  Check your tax bill and make sure you’ve taken your exemption!
